Staples is selling the SH2836 for $39.99. It does paper, credit cards, discs and disks. It cross cuts and straight cuts... I even does your laundry when your not home. Ok... anyway they have a $20 MIR that will print out when you make the purchase.

Paper Shredder Model #: 577036 or SH2836 $39.99
MIR (avalible on the web or Instore): $20.00
Additional savings INSTORE ONLY 12% off coupon HERE
End total: $15.20

I just bought one... it works phenominal.

This, actually, is not a bad deal. A while back I bought Techno shredder from Staples for $9.99 that cuts paper only and it is not that good but gets the job done. The one that they have for sale now looks like a meaner, sturdier and more powerful machine, not to mention great looks. Great find! :claps:

Nice, and I'm in the market for a shredder. Thanks!

I'm up to 60 dvd's now and the overheat light isn't even on yet... I had one disc semi-jam but I think I loaded it in to fast, I hit reverse for all of one second and popped it back and the disc was dinner. :D

P.S. I believe the rebate is 1 per customer/household... didn't ready the fine print yet.

It's actually 10 rebates per household/individual...whoa!...I guess they let you buy 10 cause they break so easily...lol, j/k.

Anyway, I went to the store to look at it and play with it and decided not to get it because for my purposes (paper cutting only) it's way too small. You have to fold paper at least in 2 to feed it in. Also, because it cuts both longitudonally and x-sectionally, it takes quit a bit for each sheet.

Pros: cheap, quality, very well made, cuts media, neat looking and powerful.
Cons: tiny, a bit slow, and a very small opening for paper feeds
