I built a new computer system and need a good deal on a TV tuner card.

I have an AIW card that I thought would work but my board specs say that I need a 1.5 or 0.8v AGP card. My ancient AIW card must be a 3.3v because it doesn't fit.

A PCI card would work or another AIW card. New, used... I'm interested as long as it works.

Does anyone have one lying around they don't use anymore??? ;)

I had the WinTV GO card in my old PC before I got my television currently in my room. I used it all the time, for years and years. It still does work, but I think I must have put some weight on it and the cable plug is bent and the picture is pretty bad. However, the tuner and everything still works, and the thing is still functional. Not bad considering I got it in 1999 or 2000 and used it actively since mid last year.

Great Find!! I've heard many wonderful things about the WinTV brand. I'll be placing my order today when I get home!

This has to be the coolest site on the 'net!! :D :) :claps:

WinFast PVR- the most enjoyable way to procrastinate your computer work

I gave my husband the WinFastPVR card for his birthday a while back (5? years). We've had it in two computers and it's awesome! I'm watching Court TV now while I'm surfing the web! The resolution is AWESOME, even blown up on a 21" screen.

He sent me the link of exactly where to buy it from. I remember it being about $80 from mysimon.com, I think. However, since it was soooo long ago, I doubt that will help you.

I just wanted to tell you that it's a good thing and lasts a while.

The Hauppauge cards definitely have great longevity, I recommend.
