Plextor rocks!!

Plextor is one of the best companies who make DVD and CD burners. They always come up with firmware upgrades. They keep improving their products. Even the Plextool is damn good. I have a 716A, it is never given me any problems.. Use it with Verbatim disks.. :bigok:

Love my Plextor

For $30 I picked one up. Didn't really need one but could not pass up a price this good. I have a Plextor 708-A in my computer now that has been fantastic. Have not made a coaster yet with Plextor at 40X.

Min requirements

Really want this bad boy, but my dinosaur PC only has a 600 MHz processor, and I see the min sys req. for this burner is 1.4GHz. How diluded am I in thinking I could make it work?

The boxes in the store included 30 DVD-R discs (TDK), but the online ad said there were 30 30 DVD-R Dual Layer discs, so the cashier said that I could return the 30 single layer DVD-R discs for the promised 30 Dual Layer discs, but I probably won't (holiday crowds)...

Also, my local store had many boxes marked with stickers indicating the drive was black, not white (black would have been my choice, since the computer it's going in is black).
