There are better for $500

If you're looking for the best sound for the price, I think there are better deals out there. The bottom line Hsu Research surround set for $500 (regular price) significantly outperforms this set IMHO.

These probably look better than the Hsu's though, so if that is a significant part of the equation then go for it.
