A friend asked me if she could copy printable coupons. I told her I thought it wasn't allowed, but am wondering what would happen if she did???

its probably best to print out the "printable coupon" from whichever email or website it came from. The printable coupons that are emailed out are intended for the consumer to print out and bring it in to the store. However, coupons that are already printed out and are fliers or the ones in your newspaper, I don't think you can make copies of those. I hope I answered your question.

(just to prove that scooopons doesn't ALWAYS kill conversations)
the coupons almost always say "may not be reproduced by electronic or mechanical means." but just printing it out the first time is electronic and mechanical reproduction. so I tell myself they invalidated the requirement themselves.
the software they use frequently makes it impossible to print more than one. so I just throw it on the copy machine, and make as many as I need.
it's really very little different from using a pdf coupon posted here on spoofee.com.

It depends on the coupon. Many print-at-home coupons have a unique barcode that prevents the coupon from being used more than once. So if you make 20 photocopies (or 20 printouts) of the same coupon, only the first coupon wil scan.

True, dat. Store coupons frequently are for single use. But manufacturer coupons are impossible to lock out that way. So maybe before you make thousands of copies, you should be sure it'll be valid.
