ok for all of you must remember when you were in school and you had to sell candy or something for a fundraiser right? Well, my group is trying to think of some good ideas of stuff to sell. Weve come across programs that sell candels, pizza making kits, cookies, candy, religious bears, gift wrap and cards. Was just wondering, say i came to your door, what type of product would you most likely buy???? Remember the holidays aren't too too far away now. Thanks for helping!

I wouldn't answer the door. I would just watch you stand there looking silly. LOL :p

I think maybe greeting cards or something like that, not candy everyone sells candy. I used to sell Olympia Greetingcard Products and Grit Magazine, is that stuff still around?

when kids come with something for me to buy, i rarely buy candy- it's just too expensive... i mean, i know it's a fundraiser, but a candy bar shouldn't cost me more than 50 cents...
i'd suggest anything gifty and sell it around october- close enough to christmas that people will be willing to buy for other people. also, look for items that are around 5 bucks. people don't mind buying something if it's under 5 bucks and seems to be a good deal. one year the kids were selling christmas ornaments- that was pretty cool- most people like buying new ornaments for their tree.

even though its for a good cause, good for kids and good for the community..i have a real hard time with fundraisers.

but one day i broke down for this $10 card of a year of discounts at local restaurants and now i am waiting for this year's card. while i only use it during weekdays at work, i save at least $2 to $5 during lunch each time i use it, depending on the place i go. i know i at least saved 2x,3x, the fundrasing amount i spent on the card during the first month.

it will take some time for people to take a look at the local vendors but once they sit down and look at it, its a bad investment Not to buy, these are places most people visit anyway..

krispy kreme!!!! :) good for school, but bad for door-to-door as they melt
