careful with the shrimp. normally i can down shrimp like nothing but the way red lobster gets their money is by either frying all the shrimp or covering it in butter. it's much more filling than it should be. you should've seen me after eating 7 plates of it.

tips for people who want their money's worth:
i suggest only eating the shrimp scampi because all the other shrimp is fried and u dont want to eat the pasta because it's not worth the money to get filled up on pasta.

Red Lobster has Yummy Cheddar Biscuits...

These will fill you up, too.
For those who like to pinch their pennies until they scream, try HomeTown Buffet on Friday & Sunday nights. Unlimited fried shrimp and buffet for under $10. No gratuity required and drink is included. The atmosphere sucks, though.:spoofee2:

I don't do seafood from a buffet...too much risk if they don't have their temperatures set properly. At Red Lobster, you also get a salad and cheddar biscuits with this, so you can get filled up on those. I bet most people don't eat more than 2-3 plates of shrimp.

I like the never-ending pasta bowl at OG better because it's actually cheaper then what you would normally pay, even if you only eat one bowl.

MMM Shrimp.....

Question: Is the quality of the shrimp at a chinese buffet the same as the quality of the shrimp at Red Lobster??

hah, the power of the internet!

The company I work for serves about one million pounds of seafood annually, so they recently made the decision to serve only sustainable seafood as this would have a huge impact on fish opulations and the environment. An example is Atlantic Cod, which is nearly extinct, so we purchase Pacific Cod or Pollock aka Alaskan whitefish instead. I have started to consume only sustainable seafood as well, as have many of my co-workers.

No worries- The food temps are fine. Fried shrimp is one of the most popular dishes. When we last went, they had to refill the tray every five minutes. (and NO we didn't eat all of it.) LOL

I cannot vouch for the salmon, though...
