...not only is it almost the same price but its a better player and its new, apple over prices stuff, this is definatley not worth it unless that is you want to conform to this "ohhh new ipod lets all buy one because it looks cool" crap...

Actually, Cnet rated the Zen machien the same as the iPod: 8.0, not 8.2. The battery lifes are nearly identical if you do some digging, with iPod lasting anywhere form an 1-6 hours longer (depending on content usage). Also, the iPod (unlike the Nano) doesn;t scrtahc easily where as the Zen machine does.

Bottom line, they are equally priced, but offer similar functions. For tyhose who really care, you can check out the individula cNet reviewes here:
