could this be used as a computer monitor, having good quality for text and all??? maybe double as both TV and monitor?
 
Dvoigt : I don't think it would look good as a computer monitor. It doesn't have DVI or VGA input. I'm sure you can find converters to use your computer with this TV, but it probably will be just like if you did that on your current TV.
 
Yeah, that's what I kinda figured, so it is only a hot deal because it's a HDTV TV? Heres the link to the Phillips outlet.
 
Its a CRT and you can get a DVI->HDMI cable that will let you hook your computer up to it. You'd have to have a DVI out on your video card and then you'd set it to output 1920x1080 interlaced.
 
Does anyone know if it comes with any warranty or not??

Couldn't get this one's webpage to show up. monitor = no tuner.

Target is closing out on their hdtv crts with hdtv tuners, under $200 for 27"....
