Remanufactured Dyson DC14 Vacuum for $254.99 Shipped

Consumer Reports consistently gives Dyson products middling to low scores. Even if you own one and think it works "fine", was it really worth $255 for a refurbished unit ($300-550 new)? Do you really need your vacuum to "look cool"?

I love finding deals on and buying high end products myself, buy Dyson is pure marketing. Just gimmicky design, nothing more.

The following Eureka vacuum received a Best Buy rating from CR and is half the price. It scored much higher than the DC-14 overall.

CR is rarely accurate. I had the Eureka vacuum and it was terrible.

We bought the Dyson DC14 (new) from Amazon when it was on sale for $299 and it is fantastic. It picks up dog hair like crazy and fills the canister like I have never seen. ( I actually ended up getting it for about $185 from Amazon due to a still on-going fight with them by many consumers who purchased it from Amazon which had the accessories listed incorrectly. Many compaints have been filed with the BBB, AG and other regulatory agencies over Amazon's handling of the whole situation.)

I will be very leery about buying anything from Amazon in the future ESPECIALLY when the item is to include other accessories. Their product descriptions are inaccurate many times. This is the 2nd time I have purchased something from them with inaccurate descriptions of what was sold.

Dyson CS is Terrible

Dyson's vaccums are excellent; but their CS is absolutely terrible. I'm reminded of Best Buy and their computer "extended warrenty." Like Best Buy, Dyson will not service anything unless it's bad from the factory (essentially)-since it's your fault "well we didn't sell it to you broken".

My parents have one and the power/suction died on it and they wouldn't honor their warrenty, even after talking to a manager about it. All in all, their stuff is good, but consumers be warry when it breaks down.
