Buyer Beware.

Go to Amazon.com and read all the comments from people who gave it (the refurbished model) only 1 star. I normally figure there are always going to be a certain percentage of malcontents, but these people all have had the same problem with the product and customer service.
 
Amazon has these for $79.99 with free shipping, they are remanufactured. I just got one of the newest models and not only do the old accessories not work with it (spare battery & charger), its not nearly as good at picking dog hair.
 
Stay away from refurbished Roombas.
I got one from Woot about a year ago... the unit was very dirty (I have to clean it up by myself before using it), and the life of the battery pack was not as the new one. Refurbished = just packed back. Nothing more!
Spend a little more and get a new one instead!

This unit is remanufactured, not refurbished. Remanufactured units are inspected by the source company and have their parts replaced/fixed/cleaned before resale.

But even if your refurbished Roomba was dirty and/or had defects, it's still covered by the warranty and the battery would be replaced with a brand new one by iRobot should you bother to contact them within the 3 month warranty period.
 
i always wanted a roomba, looking for one that cleans the carpet too
