This morning it would not take the coupon... I think there must have been a problem w/the code or their site. I use their coupons all the time & have never had a problem... I am going to try again later :)

Oddly, every restaurant in the NYC Metro area shows "MORE CERTIFICATES AVAILABLE AT THE FIRST OF THE MONTH." Just a glitch? Or the end of the road for Restaurant.com?

The Popular restaurants run out of certificates within the first two weeks of the month.

What I do is buy the gift certificates
http://gift.restaurant.com/index.asp
and then cash them in at the beginning of the next month when the certificates are available at the good restaurants.:teeth:

restaurant.com also giving a FREE $10 gift certificate with ever order, so if you are going to buy more than one certificates. BUY IT WITH SEPARATE ORDERS!!!! :wof:

*The code for your FREE $10 Gift Certificate will automatically appear on the order confirmation page.

Funny story***I have gotton about a dozen of these coupons over the past year, I recently paid $3 for $25 off coupons! I got four for different places, there was one place I wanted to always go to, so I made reservations- my husband and I went, When we pulled up in our 2005 Mercury Sable we noticed the other cars were Audi's, caddy's a BMW and other assorted nicer cars-- I started worrying about my "fashion bug" outfit. When I opened my menu there were no prices! I was like, omg! I guess if the prices matter you have no business being here. BEWARE: I was looking at the coupon in my purse thinking well I always can save $25, but then saw the fine print: "exludes satudays and holidays" we went on a Sat! I felt way to lame there to whip out a coupon anyway! Without dessert and I had Ice water to drink we shelled out $82.84 for two entrees. The food was fabulous though, looking more like silly foodie sculptures than what I'm used to at Applebees!

Yet another "end of month special" where they don't have crap left at any place you would WANT TO EAT AT (at least not in the Chicago area). All that is ever left is the local Mexican restaurant that sells $3 burritos for $12.50 so it really isn't a deal at all.

darn, I must have been too late for the good stuff.
