As mentioned in "Kids are Out" thread, the Sophinator received the Six Flags Banzai Falls 19' Water Slide for her birthday a couple weeks ago and due to mass quantities of rain since her birthday, I just put it up this weekend.
Set-up
At first the instructions seemed too brief, but after looking at everything set-up was SUPER easy and intuitive. The most difficult thing was to hammer the plastic spikes in the four corners of the slide and the only reason that was is because the ground near me is rock and clay. Other than that, you basically roll out the slide, hook up the pump, connect the hose to the spray hose of the slide and turn everything on. On the box it says the slide will inflate in two minutes, however it appeared to only take a little more than a minute to be ready for play.
Durability/Charzillability
I'm very impressed with the quality of the slide. It is very well made and very well thought out. Sophie and a couple of her "bigger" friends went on it, sometimes two going down the slide at the same time and there were no worries.
I even kept the slide on the lawn, but not inflated, for two days and it didn't ruin the grass. :claps: Plus the grass got watered a little extra. The only "bad" spot was where they get off the slide. At that spot the grass was extra muddy, but really not that bad considering.
Kids
As you can see in the pictures below, the kids absoultely LOVE it!! The first day, they were literally on it for about 4 hours straight. They had a blast and so did a couple of their friends. They also constantly asked to go on it throughout the days after.
Storage
Storage is fairly easy. The slide does come with a carrying case, but I doubt I will ever get it in that case without getting an Engineering degree and investing several hours to try and fit it in there. As a result, I just dragged the folded up slide into my garage and put the pump and spikes in there.
Water bill
This is my only concern of this slide since you basically have to keep your hose on for hours at a time (since the kids will never want to get off of it). Although it can be used dry, it probably isn't as much fun. Hopefully between the inground sprinklers and this my water bill isn't too bad.
Conclusion
I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND this slide! :bigok: :bigok: It was well worth the price (even if I paid for it).
