remarkable deal! Is this rebate reliable?

I sent ANTEC our bounced rebate check like 4 weeks ago and STILL no reply. That check cost us like $25 in bounced check charges too!

I have never had a problem with a Staples rebate...

Btw, they are not going to send you a check. they are going to send you a visa rebate card with the amount of $70.
 
I had one of these printers and finally threw it in the trash after 3 months. Consatnt jams when the printer first picks up the paper. It would go in around 1/2" and jam. I was not alone. Countless others have had the same problem. Do a google search on it.
 
I think it is a great printer. We've had one for a year, now on our second toner cartridge. We've never had a paper jam. ON THE OTHER HAND, I wouldn't trust a Samsung rebate (that's what it is) as far as I could throw it. I bought another Samsung printer in July of last year. The company doing the Visa rebate cards is called Continental Promotions Group, and they've gone belly up. Samsung has not lived up to their commitments on the rebate deal for that purchase, and I would be VERY cautious of getting your money on this one as well.
 
I just got the Canon MP620 wireless printer (Inkjet, not laser) and it's fantastic. $99, which I know is not as cheap as this one, but it's a combo printer/scanner and it is giving me amazing quality. So, if you're in the market for a new printer, check out the Canon.
 
We have one person here, Babock, who's obviously got a grudge against this printer. We have six printers, all different brands, in our office and this one is the only one that works no matter what you throw at it. BUT - Please be cautious of Samsung rebates! This is not a "Staples" rebate -- it is a SAMSUNG rebate. Their supplier of rebates went belly up. I'm seven months into waiting for mine.
 
Printers are such a pain, it really is worth it to invest in a good model.
