Not that hot, these are class 2, slowest. Class 6 is best.

True, but not all applications need a lot of speed. This will work great for loading with Disney movies to keep my son occupied in the car, supermarket, etc. On a 16GB card, I can fit 50 full-length movies that will play on any portable device that reads MPEG video files. That's four days of nonstop entertainment on a card the size of my fingernail for only $32. Not bad if you ask me.

You are correct. Class 10 is 80 Mbit/s (10 MB/s), and Class 6 is 48 Mbit/s (6 MB/s). 16GB Class 10 MicroSD cards were only announced a couple of months ago, so I think morriefisher wasn't aware that they exist. Technically speaking, class 45 is the best, but it hasn't been created yet. Here's a chart:

I guess they have new speeds these days. At one point Class 4 was best cause it was more reliable than class 6, I suppose 6 is now more reliable than class 10+ :-)
