The rebate form is from SanDisk and doesn't mention having to purchase from Dell.. Wonder if it's cheaper somewhere else.. :D

now that I have to bow down and admit I didn't read the stupid thing completely... I wish it was valid at Fry's.. I have a gift cert for around 55$ which would make it a freebie AR... damn!

Yeah, Dell taxes some states, but some aren't taxed, so some are lucky.

I should get one, I think I'll probably get a 1GB when they get down to $40. Have to wait for some existing rebates to process though so I can get my bank account up. Running a little low after buying that Dell Dimension 3000 w/ 17" LCD. :)
 
I'm on the phone now with Dell getting a $100 free certificate to spend. Maybe I'll pick up a 1GB one of these after all. Let's see what happens.
 
If anyone wants to do me a big favor and buy my coupon before they buy this, I'd appreciate it. It's a $100 off $100 or more, so any order $100 or more gets $100 off. Edit: Never mind, picked up a 1GB drive and a Belkin FM TuneCast transmitter for my Dell DJ. Came out to about $4, -$25 after rebates. Not bad for me. :)

There was a better deal last week here on Spoofee for a 1 GB Lexar USB Flash device for $39.99. I went ahead and picked up that one last week. I'd wait until another one of those comes around. :D
 
Everyone is sold out of the Lexar that is on for the rebate (1GB).

Make sure to check the SKU. Buy.com is sold out. I tried to order last week too. Rebate is only valid certain dates and if they back order it, and then send it to you, you might have a problem with the purchase date not being within the dates on the rebate.

Just a heads up.

Mine is backordered right now. I don't mind, but who knows if they'll even ship it. I just care about getting it before the rebate deadline. Is yours backordered?
 
I never received a message saying that it was backordered. The only email that I received said that it would be shipped on or before November 3rd. I am trying to be patient, but you know how it is when you are waiting on a new toy. lol.
 
Exactly. Check your order status page though, I'll bet you it's backordered. I ordered this using a courtesy coupon Dell gave me, so if this doesn't ship within a reasonable amount of time, you bet that I'm going to call in and get my coupon back plus some more coupons for my inconvenience. :P
 
You were right. They did not even send a notification, they suck. Purchase rebate is for dates 10/21-10/27, guess this one is a bust. Thanks man for the heads up.
