SanDisk Cruzer Titanium 8GB USB Drive for $46.59 Shipped

Could be better

I purchased the 4GB Titanium Plus for $21 from Buy.com. This could a better deal if you're comparing GB/$. These will drop soon enough.

not an exact comparison, but buy.com has the 8 gig non-titanium version on sale for 29.99, thats 8 gig of storage, more than enough for most people.

The non-titanium version is made of plastic that feels about as flimsy as that used for pop bottles. It flexes with even the lightest of pressure, and is so light that it could fall out of your pocket and you wouldn't even notice. I have both a 4gb cruzer and a 1gb cruzer titanium, and I use the titanium as my "important stuff" drive not only because of how sturdy it is, but also because of it's speed.

Pop bottles (and titanium, come to think of it) will be around long after we are all long gone. I often wonder what future archaeologists will think when they dig up our wasteful society, lol. Incidentally, my wife just bought a Coke shirt made from recycled pop bottles - kinda cool.

I agree about the non-ti version. I have the standard cruzer version and it does feel cheap, but it has held up pretty well though. I carry it in my pocket and use it a fair amount. I've had mine about 6 months now and so far so good. It hasn't fell out of my pocket, but I have left it a couple times at customer sites. Really bites when you feel in your pocket and then think, crap where is it!
