They wanted to charge taxes and shipping bringing the total over 122$ Is there a way around this?

I just ordered mine... Free shipping (Charged, then discounted back) they did charge sales tax, for a total of $115.50. I also emailed them and they said it included the cable as well. Estimated lead time is about 2 weeks

what's the difference from getting just the kit? And getting a retail kit? Is it just the cables and the manuals, etc?

In the past I've found that the "retail kit" includes the pretty box, software, cable and mounting screws in addition to the drive. Most OEM or "bare drives" are normally just the drive only in a sealed anti static bag, and hopefully packed well.

I confirmed by email w/Dell that this drive includes the cable (I didn't think it would), if it didn't you could order a "Dell" SATA cable for $9 on their site, or my local parts shop has them for under $3.

I tried to register with Dell so I could place an order, but it said that an account with a shipping company was required (I'm guessing a FedEx business account or something?). Did anyone else have this problem? :hmm:

The deal is part of the "Small Business" department, so maybe it's not shippable to home addresses?
