There seems to be too many repeat posts.

This sure is a turn off to look around and find the same thing listed twice on the same page!

UGH

I'm sure they didn't do it on purpose. We should all be thankful that people take time out of their busy days to search for freebies for us all and not be so picky and demanding. New people may not know the rules yet so give them a break...

:ohwell:

ya know what else, sometimes that search is goofy!

Like today, I was going to post I got a e-mail saying my sun-maid raisin booklet was on the way, and I know the offer was recently posted here, but I can only find a really old offer of it with the search. :noidea:

I hope the newbies keep posting! The mods can merge any dup threads. ;)

thanks guys, i am new and trying to be helpful, seems all my posts earlier were deleted... sorry anyway thanks for the support

also, sometimes we miss one and the repost gives us another chance. i think it is wrong to complain about ANY freebie.

Using a freebie board comes with respecting the territory. I know the mods have better things to do than merge dups, and those of us that search for the dups to help them keep the board clean do as well. Please be sure to read the only sticky this board has- very important!

Those who say "who cares about dups" sure would care if we left the board a mess with multiples of the thousands of offers available. :sus:

Welcome to the forum OWR3BOYS!:)
And thanks for your efforts!

we care about having a messy board but thats no reason to scare off the new people that we all worked hard to recruit. (ie when we all posted about spoofee in our blogs).

Repeat Posts

People like you are the reason I don't post here.....I dont need someone getting their panties in a bunch just because I do something wrong. You need an attitude adjustment, just my opinion.

I just wanted to add that I appreciate all the work the mods do! Spoofee is the best!

People aren't pointing out the duplicate posts to be mean; they're just trying to help keep the board clean. So please don't be offended. Keep posting the freebies; you'll get used to the Search function. Some of the best posters on Spoofee used to post a lot of dups at first but have become great spoofee-ers. The key is to use the Search function before posting. Usually, I find that the offer has already been posted and just bump it up so everyone who missed it the first time around can get in on it. And when we do post a dup, we have the best mods who merge it with the original post.

Thanks again, Spoofee mods! You're the best and are appreciated.

P.S. I'd rather someone take a chance at posting a duplicate than to miss out on a great offer! The worst that can happen is someone say, "Hey, that's a dup." In that case, it essentially just bumps the original offer up when it's merged with the OP. (Sometimes the titles aren't detailed enough to find it in a Search.)

I am not bashing the Mods at all.I was just trying to share with what i thought were some cool posts and just because they were used in 2006, doesnt mean it should be removed, if you already filled it out then dont bother, but a lot of new people still can. Once again, did not mean to cause a prob , i will not post anymore.... everything seems to be a Dup.

I appreciate all the freebies. I have only posted a few offers myself and have made mistakes. Hopefully I will learn but I too have done a search and not found anything and somehow my post disappears. You pros give gentle guidance. Thanks

I agree that this forum would be a total mess if it didn't have some
sort of rules about posting.

However, with that said, there is a right and a wrong way to inform someone that they've made a mistake. In my opinion, posting a giant "UGH" is rude and not helpful at all.

If the post is meant for everyone because there seems to be a sudden increase in dups then I think a polite post reminding people how to do a search and why it's important that we try to keep dups off the list would've been better.

If the post is meant for one person, then I'd say send them a private message.

It takes more muscles and adds more wrinkles to frown, then it does to smile :)

just my opinion

I hope that you will not be put-off posting offers! We love new people! Most newbies post dups at first. If you see it's been posted, just add to the original thread. We use "Bump," to show that an offer is still valid and to bump it up for people who missed it the first time around. The freebie section wouldn't be as great as it is without people who are willing to share. I'm still pretty new but I can say that I appreciate people who are willing to share the great offers with the rest of us.

Hey! I didnt do it!!! LOL j/k

Just wanted to lighten things up a little bit. FREE IS FREE you guys!! I dont care who posts what as long as its legit. I have been to alot of freebie sites but in my opinion this one is the best!! I think its great that people pick here to post when they could be posting somewhere else. Some other sites i know of only get 1 or 2 posts a day and they are usually old. We are lucky!!! Welcome to all the newbies!! :yo:

:cocktail: Cheers to all the newbies

:60: I don't want you guys to leave or quit posting

:creep: just be careful, I don't get away with anything either.

:hmm: Some people think that they should always correct your spelling errors also.
Geez, thanks all of you teachers.

:marshmallow: Just have fun! :)

LOL dbee- Now that's what I call a reminder! :decision: :yo: Thank you!

What's all this then????

OK - No more of this chatter - this is a thread for the [Community] tab :look:

This is not rocket science and searching before posting is always a good thing.

When you re-post a freebie, the thread can sometimes push a good freebie over to page two - thereby causing a number of Spoofeers (and all you lurkers - i see you) to miss it.

And (just in case you thought there was) there is no prize for the highest post count.

The only good newbie is one that plays by the rules.

Firstly, to all the newbies:welcome:
Here's my totally unsolicited two cents:

Please do your best to search before you post. It's not only helpful to the mods, but very respectful to those that posted it first. Also, most members only have a limited amount of time to spend here and want to search for new offers in the most efficient and money saving Spoofee way possible!

If you do repost, that's OK! I would venture a guess that we'be ALL done it at least once! As you get to know your way around here, you'll get better at recognizing reposts - and I'm sure a member or two will kindly (hopefully) point that out to you. Finally, MOST of the members here realize a repost when they see one and are not usually so rude or critical about it. I notice at least 5 reposts a day but don't comment because i know better to give the poster the benefit of the doubt if they are new ... Seriously - I honestly think that True Lemon will be offering free samples when my Shayla is a grandma!

FYI, it is totally OK that if you're searching the old posts and find one that is 3 months + old but it is still a valid offer, please REPLY to that same post and write something like "Bump - still valid" That "recirculates" the old freebie and still gives proper credit to the original poster ....

We now return you to your regularly scheduled freebie .... :usa:
