Do you have to buy in store? Or can you have the items shipped? The shipping looks to be free? It is advertized on the site but you won't get the extra 5$

i'm not 100% certain, but when i read the fine print on the rebate form, it notes:

To receive your gift card, complete this certificate with your salesperson...

STEP 2 To be completed by Salesperson

my guess is that maybe this is for instore purchases only. although you could probably buy online and select the in store pick-up option too.

hth, penpen a.k.a. "lemon-fresh smurf"

Good News my spoofee pets! i called customer service and yes you can order them on line with free shipping BUT they are out. boo hoo!!

BUT for the GOOD NEW!! In store Sears will honor a reincheck for all items in the add. Just go into your store and ask for a reincheck for all the items! YEA! I have to got that way tomarrow so i think I 'll stop in! :claps:

How the hell will the raincheck work..don't you have to buy the item either friday or saturday to qualify for the rebate.

good question.

i was told the same thing as CreativeGenes - to fill out rainchecks. the salesperson said that somehow they'd make sure it worked out for the customers, even if they have to reimburse the rebate money on the spot (which would actually be more convenient instead of filling out the rebate form & waiting for the check).

so if you don't mind spending a little time to fill out a bunch of rainchecks (one per item)...

Great find, im headed over to sears in a little to get in on these deals

Has anyone actually done it?

I'm going to head over there this afternoon- (beautiful day today on the east coast)
I will bring, 1. printout of the ad. 2. printout of rebate form, 3. the 5 off 25 coupon, and hopefully either walk out with tools or rainchecks. Would you recomend getting some form of written notice saying that they will honor the rebate even though its rainchecked? Possibly by a manager? Thanks.

Has anyone gone in and gotten these tools? Are they good quality?

Forget about ordering online and picking up instore.

They're sold out.

i didn't get the tools so can't attest to their quality, but i understand that craftsman tools come with a lifetime warranty, which says something positive about their quality imho.

yeah, it would be a good idea to at least get the name of the manager or salesperson who tells you that they'll somehow honor the rainchecks. having them give you something in writing would probably be ideal, if you're brave enough to ask for it ;)

I did it, I went in and they were sold out, I muscled the wussy CSR, and he gave me a rain check with all 10 items on it, he also wrote "free after rebate" on the ticket and said that his manager said it will be free when they come in. Hopefully it will turn out good. I also got a 20% off 50$ coupon at Express Men its good until April 5th. (they had good sales on top of it also!)

Ok just got back from Sears here in Dallas Texas at the North East mall.
They where very helpful and told me exactly the same thing the customer service said on the phone word for word (above ). They gave me a reincheck for ALL the items and took my info. said they would call when they came in and that Sears had informed all empolyees that if these items came in after the rebates due date they where just going to option them free right there in the store when the items came in. They also said as long as you got the reincheck today and if the order came in before the rebate mail in date, then customeres could mail the rebates in and they would be honored. I got the name of the superiser she had to sign the reincheck. She was actually standing at the counter signing many of them. They said at the end of today they where going to add up all the orders and place them tonight. I was very please with the service! If all works out I'll be getting $75 woth of Free Craftman tools! YEA ;)

I got the same story, They were very nice about it! There was a stack of rainchecks on the counter too! He said they sold out yesterday morning! But that they would call when they came in. I got him to write on it free after rebate. Good work penpen thanks!

My local store just handed out a copy of the Ad and took names of customers and signatures of personnel on photocopies. The Mgr. said when the stock came in the form would get us all the items handed over for free without any rebate issues.

went there yesterday sunday at 8pm and everything was gone lol
i signed for rainchecks

I sent my Dad and brother in Kettering Ohio to get the raincheck forms for themselves and they had no problems at all. Good thing because they have never done this before. They said there where stacks of them and the manager was helping everyone fill them out and collecting them. Dad said there where quit a few people gettting theirs as well! They are excited!
