Not really knocking the deal but I just want everyone to be forewarned. This playing surface is not slate or even slatron for that matter, it is pressed wood. It will be very susceptible to warping. The price is nice for something to play around with but I guess this could be considered a disposable pool table.

I ended up not doing the $100 deal for the crappy table. I paid $200 for the 8-footer with the Slatron surface. It was tough finding the Slatron near me (and they won't deliver it) but I eventually found a Sears within 20 miles that has it. $213 including tax for a decent 8-foot pool table is quite a deal.

jdurbin, I was actually looking at that 8 footer too... how come it says you need a leg kit and rail kit as well? I'm confused...:worry:

I saw an 8ft leg and rail kit - reg. $700 marked down to $49.00 Maybe that is the one needed to complete this.
