Sharper Image has the Sharper Image Woofi Power Subwoofer on sale for $9.95.

Reviews state this only works with "special" subwoofer jacks.

I have 2 of the older Sharper Image sub-woofers, and they work well. These only work with an amplifier that has a sub-woofer jack (an RCA plug).

No duh it didn't work on the reviewers computer or TV. He doesn't have a clue how to hook it up and what a sub-woofer jack is.
 
i'm sure one can cut the RCA plug off and solder any type of plug (or leave it bare) that you need.

thoughts anyone? dave49er?? since u have 2 older ones.... so do they "fill the room?"

They sound really good. Sometimes I get asked to turn them down, so yes, they do fill the room!
