Sketchers - Printable 30% Off Coupon Expires 12/14

I tried to use this coupon at a skechers store and they wouldn't let me use it. Even though no where on the coupon does it say that I need to say who works for skechers, the guy said that it is for employees only for their friends and family, and I asked him how does he know who I know and who i don't. He gave me some kind of runaround saying they needed to be present and that it had to be an employee from one of the two local stores. Which I told him it doesn't say that, so I just walked out.

Has anyone ever had this type of trouble using these friends and family discounts?
 
Says right on the flyer copies will be accepted. I would have asked to talk to a manager or something.
