With the holiday season kicking off, and, our economy kicking us in the pants, will you:

1) Spend more this year on holiday gifts and entertainment.
2) Spend less this year on holiday gifts and entertainment.
3) Spend about the same as last year on both.

Frankly, I am spending about the same amount as I did last year plus or minus a few bucks. I was over the Mall area and folks are out and about buying like crazy! Hope the deals are worth it? :convinced: The Prime Outlets in our area are packed with people shopping as well!

I'm probably spending more...

but that's because my 5 year old just isn't entertained by the toys that I find on clearance and stash away anymore. She has to have a certain toy that of course will be the hardest thing to find this Christmas. I haven't even shopped for hers yet because I'm certain her mind will change up until Christmas Eve...

...no... I'm not a grinch... really...

#2 for me, if I can stay out the bookstores.

I'm spending more this year...but I'm getting one major toy for both kids. Dollhouse for daughter and castle for son. I'm hoping that these particular choices will be something they can enjoy for years on end...they are very much into make believe and hold conversations with themselves all day long...so I'm putting that energy to some use. Hubby and I aren't really buying for each other. We typically do a card with a self-thought-up poem for one another. My hubby is having surgery Wednesday, so our cash flow will be straight to the local hospital. I'll just be thankful to have him hopefully healed up and better by x-mas...that is truly my one wish this season.

#3 for me. My income hasn't changed.

#2 income has been greatly affected in Michigan
