So, what would I need one of these for? If I talk a lot on Skype across the World or something?

Seems like a good deal, I'm just trying to find a legitimate reason I could use it.

It appears the item is handled by Tiger Direct for $7.24 shipping. The item is not eligible for Amazon's free shipping on orders over $25; it's not even eligible for Amazon's extra cost "Amazon Prime" service.

Couple that with the trouble of applying for the rebate and it's not really such a hot deal.

You're late. This was being sold directly by Amazon.com with free shipping. I just didn't need one.
