Sony MDR-EX51LP Fontopia Headphones for $25.49 Shipped Free

Amazon has the Sony MDR-EX51LP fontopia headphones for a great price. It has a 4 out of 5 rating on Amazon.

I picked up these as well. These are the good ones without the extension cord and the really short cord built into the unit.

I've been wanting them for a while, this is a great price. Normally go for $35 or so.

upgrade for $4.50

Amazon also has the $49 retail Sony MDR-EX71LP for $29.99. I couldn't determine what features these have over the Sony MDR-EX51LP, but for only $4.50 more I took the plunge.

Bad idea. The 71's have a shorter cord with a big extension cord. Read the reviews. People say that the cord attached to the headphones is really small and then they give you this REALLY big extension cord, and that the whole setup is horrible. The actual headphones on the 51's and 71's are the same, it's just that weird cord.

darn

I couldn't find any reviews, except for the 71's. Too late to cancel, so I'll have to live with it.

If you have any sort of remote device for your portable audio, get the SL (straight plug) versions, they have the short Line which is better so it doesnt clunk up while you have it in your pockets.

I hate the right angle plugs, they just dont fit IPODS well...

too bad amazon doesnt have the WHITE versions of these.
I bought a white version and it lasted for 5+ years. awesome sound quality.

Mine came in just now. Very happy with them. Since they surround your ear canal, they're good for concentrating in loud situations. They're pretty good at noise reduction. After trying the earbuds that came with my Dell DJ, I started liking the concept of earbuds since my behind the neck model doesn't work well for me because I wear glasses, and I have a great pair of over the head ones, but they're huge. These are perfect for school, and the sound absolutely blows away the ones that come with the DJ. No comparison, these are great for the price.

yep, got mine today. Great for working out in the noisy gym. Sweet pair of headphones.

I also figured I wouldn't like the uneven cord, I'm actually starting to like it. This means I can wear a full pair of headphones in class with the cord running down the opposite side so the teacher can't see it, then use a hooded sweatshirt. Not bad, not bad at all. ;)
