The item is not available for shipping nor in any of the stores in CT(06852). I also tried several other zip codes. I tried calling the 1 800- number and asked them where in US I could get this... no convincing answer.

Anybody has bought this one - please let me know where this one is available?

If the Circuit City stores in your area don't have this item in stock, you might be out of luck.

There is one thing you might consider trying. CompUSA is selling this same Sony VAIO VGN-FS630/W notebook computer for $1299 - $100 MIR. Sometimes on big-ticket items, stores are willing to give you a discount that might match another store's rebate. So you might want to try to contact CompUSA, show them the CC price, and see if they'll give you $200 off the computer if you buy the computer from them. this is HIGHLY YMMV, though.

I don't know if they carry it at sears...Sears has a great price match program...Just print out the page from Circuit City and Sears will match the price +10% difference...

Yeah, Sears is really terrific about PM's.

The thing is that Circuit City has that $200 rebate. It'll be tough finding a store that'll honor another store's rebate by giving a pricebreak, but when I bought my computer, that's what happened. I think it depends on how much the item is (and on how the sales person feels that day).
