Money-Saving Baby Ideas:
As a mother or father, we always want our babies to have the very
best, but we are also aware of the skyrocketing costs of baby
supplies, from food to strollers to toys.
The average household spends $200,000 getting a child from birth to
age 18, according to renowned author Michael Farr, in his book A
Million is Not Enough. This statistic does not include school or
college.
The first step, Farr writes, is figuring out how much you are
currently spending, comparing that to how much you have available to
spend, and then deciding what is a necessity and what can be done
without.
As parents, we can be enticed into buying frivilous things that we
think our baby needs, but really do our children little good.
Brand-name products are often not worth their huge markup, and for
most things, the name can be sacrificed without any loss in product
quality.
Farr says that saving is essential - having a rainy-day savings
account can get you out of seriously deep water if disaster strikes -
with the economy as uncontrollable as it is, it doesn't make sense
not
to have at least 6 months' worth of cash on-hand.
---
Here are some quick figures to help you sort things out for yourself:
+ Daycare can cost up to 1500$/month. It often makes more sense for
one parent not to work, to stay home with the kids, especially if you
have more than one child requiring daycare services.
+ Food can cost up to 125$/week, making it the most expensive
category in most babies' lives.
+ The average cost to see a pediatrician is 275$
+ Everything considered, babies cost at least 2000$/month with
daycare.
Babies can cost a fortune, but the happiness and joy they bring into
your life are beyond anything money can buy. If you find yourself
concerned about the high cost of baby-raising, remind yourself that
babies are our future, and they are worth as many sacrifices as they
need.

RECAP:
- Get your baby smelling like a cucumber for free!
- Babies can be really expensive, but when there's a will, there's a
way!
- Expect to spend about 2000$/month and about 200,000$ per kid!
Thanks, and have a great day!
