Does anyone here know if SSD drives are compatible with Windows XP Pro?

Thinking about using one of these for the boot disk.

TIA.

Thanks for that info. Anyone know of other SSD drives that XP will work with. I have an Acronis True Image backup of my HD with all my apps installed. Can I load this image on the SSD? I'm currently looking ad a 64MB drive from Western Digital that Newegg sells.

Thanks,

Larry

I don't even know what an SSD drive is. I just had to say,

This is a solid state hard drive, that is a hard drive without a spinning disk. Similiar to the USB thumb drives you stick in your computer but manufactured in a form factor that can be used in the interior of a desktop/laptop. You directly swap out the old SATA hard drive for the SSD hard drive. The disadvantage is they are still relatively expensive and have smallish capacity. Especially since you can get 1T SATA for $69 or less today.

But time marches on and eventually the SSD will be the standard and the spinning disk drive will go the way of the floppy.

Well thank you for that explanation. Good to know, my computers will be outdated................again! lol

If you bought your computer last week or prior, it's outdated. That's a rule.
