It actually works out better if you buy the state separately from Deluxe. :confused:

I am so mad at this program. I have all my work done on my end. Because I am a student deducting tuition, I can not file until they get it updated for that deduction. In short they told me that update would not be available until early Feb- so in short I am forced to wait a few weeks to file and to top it off- I can not file state until my federal is done first- totally regret going this way~
 
It's not the program ... I've been using TurboTax for years and am running into the same problem. Apparently the IRS hasn't finalized the information for students and the educational credit (TurboTax says January 20). Hopefully the info will be out soon.

By the way, the IRS has a page with potentially free e-filing companies. These should work well with students as there are limits on income to get a free e-filing.

Thanks for the input- atleast I can redirect my frustrations and lay it on the IRS. I will check the program sooner if this is a community waiting for the deduction.
