Thanks! I always pick up some stuff, good why to stock up and be ready. Does anyone know how often they do these deals and where to keep an eye out for them?

Free shipping for rewards members (click here to see details on how to sign up for free, and get bonus rewards). Otherwise, you can get free shipping if you purchase $50 worth.

staples sent me a notice a few weeks ago about their "new and improved" rewards program that included free shipping with $50 purchase. it's also on their website, so no more spending $0.69 and getting free shipping. boo. oh well.

Have they gotten rid of the free delivery for Staples Rewards members? It looks like you must have a $50 order for free delivery even as a rewards member now. I know they changed the program.

No More Free Shipping unless you spend $50

They changed the Staples Rewards program recently.
No more free shipping with no minimum purchase.
Now you have to spend $50, just like non-rewards members.
They supposedly upped the cash back reward.

I add the items as instructed, but I don't get the 69¢ price. Am I doing something wrong or is the deal already done?

Edited to add: Thanks for noting that the orders need to be ordered in the 'enter by order number' spot. You all are great.

Also, my rewards number still got me free shipping. It's my old number, not my new one. I wonder if that is what makes the difference.

You need to manually enter the whole item number including the "UB" on the end in the box at the top that says "Enter by order number". That should work.

It's removed on the final checkout screen, after your addresses and rewards number are confirmed.

Delivery: $7.95
Tax: $1.15
Total: $22.21

Why don't you call the 800 number?

If theyve changed the policy, would calling really do any good? I expect that the CSRs would follow protocol.

Well, first off you could verify if they changed the policy or not, and sometimes they will make an exception for good customers. I'd give it a shot. They've always been helpful to me.

Here's the skinny.

I am (and I would assume that most of us are) what is now referred to as "Rewards Base." We do not receive free shipping. In order to qualify for free shipping you must be what they call "Rewards Premier". To qualify for that, you must spend $1000 per year, every year. If you stop spending $1000 per year, you are bumped back down to "Rewards Base.".

I promptly told the woman that she could go ahead and cancel my account with them.

Not so fast mi amigo! Think before you act! Yesterday I placed a $225 order (including sales tax), of which I will be getting $200 back in rebates, a free 2 piece luggage set ($49.99 value :p )...additionally....I went through a different site that will give me 3% back, I will get $$ back from staples rewards and I'll get 1% back on my credit card! And I only really needed file folders...:p

Look here: http://www.spoofee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54379&highlight=staples

$1,000 per year really isn't that much, especially when you purchase "Free after rebate" items. ;)

Nope. I dont buy anything but this stuff from staples. Im pushing $100 a year. So far this year, Ive spent less than $40.

If you order the peachtree accounting for $140 (FAR), you'd be over the $100 per order, qualitfy for free shipping and you may find a code for a free item. Add your little stuff and you're over $150 - I have a coupon for a free 10 cup coffee maker if you want...;)

Uhh, no. I work at an accounting office, doing accounting. I have all the software I need.

Yep, I don't qualify for free shipping anymore either. :verysad: Most of my orders were never over $10  so I guess I won't be ordering from Staples anymore.
