i forgot the website. but they've came to my hs and everything.
chela or something. search for it on google. good luck! you should try to work at your school offices or something to reduce your tuition fees. see if they have that kind of programs
First of all did you qualify for any Federal Loans (subsidized or unsubsidized)? This is based on you/your parent's income and almost everyone qualifies for them. If you did, then the financial aid department of your school will have a preferred lender. They will make it VERY easy for you if you go to the financial aid office. Basically, you'll end up signing a paper. A lot of schools are using Direct Loan.
Avoid private loans at all costs! Federal loans are better for many reasons. First, when you consolidate, they're guaranteed the lowest rate possible (it's a weighted average equation of everything you've borrowed). Second, if you qualify for subsidized loans, then you're not paying the interest while you're in school and any other deferrment periods. And of course, they have much lower rates than private loans.
The very thing you need to do is go to your school's financial aid office. And do NOT take out more than you need. The temptation is great, but you will regret it later.
I'm one of those "lifetime" students (now working on my master's), so PM me if you have any other questions.
Get a Citi Mastercard (or Visa) with the Thank You Rewards program and they give 10,000 points to sign up. I turned it into a quick $100 towards my student loan. They also have $100 gift cards too.
