I am looking for a sunless tanner that is affordable & won’t leave me orange looking. Something that looks natural. Anyone have any suggestions? What do you use?

I tried one of those once.

I had shaved off my mustache (after 20 years) and tried one of these to tone down my shiny-white upper lip. The stuff kept rubbing off.

I let the mustache grow back.

Squid - I LOVE the sun, but it is reaking havoc on my nose and my whole face.!. Instead of freckles I get these places that look like freckles but they are just a little bit bigger.. make sense?

I've seen the Olay products and am leaning towards it, just wondering what anyone else's experience has been with it or a similiar product.

I swear I think the sun is stronger now than it was a few years back.

I bought Famous Dave's moisture self-tanner from their Ebay store and it works very well. Only bad thing is it goes on like lotion and just rubs in, you cannot see where you have put it. It also takes a few hours to start developing, once it does WOW. I left it on overnight and I had a nice glow in the morning.

Choo, that wasn't the lotion, but Bab's motion in the ocean that had you 'glowing'....

:yo:

I used Olay Touch of Sun, that will gradually tan your skin for my legs and it seems to only work if you're pure white. (at the time I was. My legs turned a pale tan which worked so you didn't see every pore so I was satisfied)

For my face I just use Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer that has a light tint to it. The Neutrogena will not tan your skin, its just make-up. But it works well to add just a little bit of color if you're uneven and need a little bit or something. Plus its not heavy like foundation can be, and has SPF 30,

The Olay was about $5-6 at Target and lasts about a month, the Neutrogena was about $10-11 at Target 3 months ago and isn't showing any signs of being empty.

I like the Banana Boat self tanner and tanning moisturizer. They have had good reviews in beauty mags. I am very pale and it gave me a natural look. No orange in sight. LOL

I have fair skin. The sunless tanners turn me orange too. The only solution I found is to tan "a little" in a tanning bed. Then I use the Jergens sunless tanner. It works gradually so you don't get that streaky look. The little bit of real tan seems to help alleviate the orange tint.

I didn't know men used self tanners LOL

Jergens natural glow is good too

I think white skin looks kind of nice. It shows you care about your skin.

One must also consider how these tanners chemically tan your skin.

Also, sunshine produces vitamin D. It's quite important :-)

I've used Jergens and Olay. My skin is not too white anyway, but I couldn't tell too much of a difference. Maybe just a little more of a glow, but I don't think I looked much darker... I still use them sometimes though.

I agree, I use sunless tanner on my legs, but not my face.
It helps to get a bronzing powder and brush over your foundation to get the color you want for your face. I showed this trick to my sister and she couldn't believe the difference it made! I use the cheepest one they sell at CVS. I think it's by Wet and Wild or some low end brand. But it works great.

I agree with morriefisher. White is good! I am so white I'm almost translucent!!!! People have to wear sunglasses around me!!!!! I have yet to see a tanning product that looks real.
