This is probably one of the hardest questions I came across..... LOL

I went to the Lexus "Taste of Luxury" last year in SF (Alameda). The best part was driving all the SUV's around on a muddy track complete with a huge hill and lots of bumps and holes to maneuver through. The free food wasn't bad. You can do what I did and go right around 10ish when they're switching from breakfast to lunch to sample everything! ;) You only get to go through the food once. :( Last year there was kid's stuff available plus a cooking demo and golf tips from an instructor. It's pretty cool to drive the Lexus cars and then drive their competitors' cars, too. The parting gift was a leather bound photo album/memory box plus a book on places to drive. Not bad for a free event. I'm not sure how much Lexus will stick to what they did last year but I hope this year's is comparable.

Another fun event that's free in select cities is the Mazda Zoom Zoom Live! event. www.zoomzoomlive.com. Everyone who participates gets a free T-Shirt plus if you do well in the competitive driving events, you can get more prizes. You get to drive the new MX-5 (Miata) in both automatic AND manual! (Usually, driving events only offer automatics.) As a bonus, they give you a coupon for $500 off a purchase of any NEW 2005 or 2006 Mazda and it's combinable with any incentives going on at the moment. Check it out if it's going on near you!

Chicken-flavored tofu.
Chicken-flavored bullion cubes.
Chicken-flavored artifically imitation processed soybean.

Neither the chicken or the lexus came first....
So who did..?
Stay tuned

LOL

this confuses me - why is it that they make these mock-chicken foods for people who don't eat chicken because they don't *want* to eat chicken?

besides, it all tastes like tofu anyway. :)

 confused on this one as well

darn, all the san francisco locations are gone.....that was quick..

..i heard two weeks ago they had a mazda one like this.....so does every manufacturer have a time during the year when they allow this for the public?

it depends, chevy has a large one twice a year, mazda always has once a year.

ive have been to a benz and volvo event. i signed up but missed the previous lexus and toyota event. i know bmw has charity events once in a while.

sometimes you can find the links on the manufacturer's website, other times its in the form of email spam like this one. :car:

yeah, it's strange, I wonder how they afford to do that, ..let common citizens like me trash and rip the heck out of high luxary sports cars to our liking..... ;)

Driving age is usually 18+ but some require you to be 21+. I can't remember what it is for the Lexus event. Both the GM and Lexus events last year allowed children to ride along. Lexus even had car seats available. After attending the Mazda events (both Rev It Up and ZoomZoom), GM's "Auto Show in Motion", Toyota's "Put It in Play" and Lexus' "Taste of Luxury"... I liked the Lexus event best. More kid/family friendly stuff, better food and shorter lines. But like I said, I don't know how things will turn out this year. Last year made a good impression on me.

BTW, you can't really "trash" the cars too much. If you are too out of control and don't listen to warnings from the organizers, they'll cut up your participation card and kick you out. Any spin outs equaled instant removal from the event. In the recent Mazda event I attended, people who repeatedly set off the rev limiters while driving the manual cars got "automatic" written across their participation card so they weren't allowed to drive manuals the rest of the day. Haha! :)

The egg of course. LOL

The egg actually hatched in to the chicken in the Lexus. The egg was left by the easter bunny who happened to test drive the Lexus. :claps:

so does anyone have the exact date ranges for signups to these types of events seeing how they're annual? I need to get ready for the next one so that I don't miss out on the local location like this one.
