So we've seen several threads regarding the treatment of different animals and they have prompted much response. I thought I'd give a home for all the links people post and discussion we get about animal rights.

But seriously...Dehawk sent me a message and told me to pass it on, and what he had to say was a good reason for starting this thread.....anyhoo...here's dehawk (spelling errors preserved from original)

Could you pass the message on that i urge everyone to look at this website http://www.lcanimal.org/ and to watch the documentry "Dealing dogs" on HBO. Also try to ontribute soemthing to it because its a great cause.

Aren't we forgetting about the poor Pigs, Cows and Chickens that are treated just as bad. So that we can all eat meat here in America. :zip:

What about our children who are human? Sometimes they are treated worse than an 'animal'... How about the people displaced by hurricane Katrina? Some of their living conditions are no better than a kennel.

We all just need to be sensitive to all the 'lives' that are around us.

Personally, I much prefer the company of animals. Lets say theres a car wreck. A man and a dog are injured on the side of the road. I can only bring one passenger. I would totally take the dog for help before the human. Come on boy, good boy. See you later, mister. If theres a homeless guy and he has a dog, I will give him a can or two of dog food before I give him any money or my sandwich.

People suck. Period. (broad generalization, but I believe it to be mostly true). Most people probably have good intentions but sooner or later they all let you down. Ive never had one of my pets disappoint me other than maybe eating my sandwich. Most animals only need help because their humans are too stupid, lazy, or uncaring to bother, anyway.

Women love me, men fear me, and barnyard animals enjoy my late-night company.
