Spoofee Toolbar for Firefox.

See what you can do with this baby! Newly created by moi. Give her a spin and give me suggestions. Maybe someday we can release it to the general public (taking out the moderator stuff, of course). I've tested it as thoroughly as I can think of. Let me know about bugs and other issues. You will likely have to save it to your desktop and then drag it into an open Firefox window to have it install.

I have the people at the Doom9 forums to thank for the toolbar shell. It has been heavily modified to work with Spoofee.

I have noticed that the "Latest 20 posts" is a little behind. This is due to the fact that the RSS feed from Spoofee isn't updated too often. I also know that the "Spoofee Radio" link under "Additional Links" menu doesn't open in a new page. That will hopefully be in the next version.

Are you using Firefox? The version has to be above 1.5.

When I click on the link, it opens a new tab, but the screen is blank. In less than a second it's 'done'.
What stupid thing am I doing?

Try right-clicking and saving it to your desktop. Then drag it into your Firefox window.

Or you can click the Tools menu and click Options. From the Security tab, uncheck the Warn me when sites try to install add-ons option.

Spaz, maybe I overlooked it, but could you add a search for the deals on teh front page or at least only the hot deals section of the forums?

You can search by 'Hot Deals' only by typing what you want, then clicking the down arrow next to 'Quick Search' on the toolbar and choose the forum/sub-forum you want to search. I'll look at adding the ability to search for deals on the front page only.

By the way, would you prefer the 'View New Posts' as a separate button on the main toolbar, or where it is located under 'Spoofee Forums'?

OK, toolbar has been updated. You'll need to uninstall it, restart Firefox, then reinstall it.

To search for the front page items, click the down arrow next to 'Quick Search' and choose 'Front Page Deals'.
