Lays has point of purchase displays at other stores

Cleveland area discount chain (marc's) had a point of purchase display with $10 mail-in rebates for similar deal, includes potato chips and cheetos as well as doritos. Not restricted to one store chain.

Watch your local retailers for similar displays, or go to Walgreens for their rebate, then other retailer and "double up" for an even bigger Super Bowl pig-out.

Monday: Our local store had 2 12-packs and 0 chips in stock. They gave a raincheck for the items, but had no guarantee that any of them would come in.

The shelves themselves looked like they would hold about 5 12-packs of each type of pepsi, and 8 bags of chips....they obviously didn't plan for the demand on the sale, which I think is wrong.

UPDATE Tuesday:

Went back today, got the stuff. They had the chips, but only 5 packs of soda, so I was stuck with some that i'd rather not have, but $4.44 after rebate isn't bad.

Just came back from Walgreens... plenty in stock here... they had pepsi 12 packs 3 for $7 and doritos 3 for $6, so they had it advertised for only $3 after rebates... area code 77840

hmm, it's different here in MA. 3 pepsi is for $8
