I know this is dumb, but I was just thinking...How are the times posted on here, because different people are in different time zones. So how does Spoofee know what time it is when we post? Do they go by "our" time, or does it go by where Spoofee is "located" at? Then how do we then know what time it was when someone last posted, does it get converted to what time it would be to us in our own time zone, or is it marked for when they posted it? Just wondering.........

by logging in, this allows a cookie to be created in the background of your web browser which sets your time zone by the clock on your computer. so anytime you see the posted time from your message or someone elses message from, for example, fresno, california, the time posted is in your local time.

if you fly out to fresno, california to post a message on spoofee, you will be required to login (spoofee requires login to post a message), and once you login, the web browser cookie will be set to the time according to the clock on the computer in fresno and all the posted times you see on spoofee will be in your local time, in pacific standard time.

once you login, you will notice that it will remember all the threads you have already visited, as opposed to not logging in, or after logging out, it is just a bunch of threads that are all in bold. this means that this forum engine, run buy vBulletin, keeps your login information on their computer databse as well.

wow, that totally cleared that up, and then some.... Thanks! :)
Maybe you should swing by and hook up my PS2 to my computer?

it would be a long drive!

In case you did not know you can also edit your time zone and make other time and date changes in your options section.

awwwww... are you coming out to visit me?! ;)

Actually when you post something it gets posted in GMT, Greenwich Mean Time. In your UserCP you set what time zone you are in so the post then shows up as the correct time. Doing it this way allows everyone to view the posts and have them in there local time.

I personaly live in the Central US so my time zone is GMT -6.

well, when we visited my brother in modesto, CA for thanksgiving, and i logged into spoofee on his computer, everything was in local PST.

So, if I get this correct, when, say, Club Chick, in Cali submits a post and it says 10am, its 10am her time? Or does it convert to my time when I see what time she posted it at? hmmmm....

if u are in NY, you will see that she posted at 1pm EST, your time
