Ultra 2GB 60x SD Card for $4.99 Shipped After Rebate

Will these 60x cards work with the Wii?

I guess my question is what is the difference between a regular card and a 60x card?
 
60x refers to speed - the data is available to read and write 60 times faster than the normal standard...

I don't know about the Wii thing though....
 
i know the wii sees a 2gb SD card...doubt it takes advantage of the 60x tho...its mostly cameras that need a higher xfer rate
 
Why wouldn't it "take advantage" of it? All it means is that when the Wii (or whatever SD-compatible equipment you're using) sends a read or write command to it, it'll receive it's response back quicker. I don't see why it wouldn't make at least a marginal difference.

The only compatibility thing I know of with the Wii is that cards >= 4GB are not officially supported.
 
I would not recommend this product, because I purchased similar one from Ultra, July 2006. I have not received the mail-in rebate yet. I made millions of calls (It took me about a hour to go through), and I was always told that my rebate will be mailed out 7-10 business days. their service was terrible. I will never purchase any Ultra products again. TRUST ME!
 
Wow thanx 'redwings' i was about to order one, i bought a Hitachi HDD for free after $50 MIR but ultra is not that know compared to Hitachi
 
I'd suggest staying away from non-brand name flash memory, it seems to randomly become unusable for unknown reasons. The past month or so Kingston has had some nice deals over @ Buy.com , keep an eye out for more in the future. :wave:
 
I think they are sold out.

When I click link, get an error. I tried going directly to fry.com site and search for item. No match found on Ultra 2 GB SD cards, only 1 and 4 GB.

Only problem I've had with Ultra is getting their rebates - products have been good.

buy.com is where I get almost all my memory lately.
 
Just got it and it Doesn't Work!

:rant: I GOT IT YESTERDAY and could not format it. Now I have to pay for the return, pay for a new one and hope the new one works....

Just got the replacement and it is not recognized by the palm and will not format in my computer, what a bunch of junk, now I have to wait for an hour with Fry's CS and pay return postage again. Don't waste your time with Fryss!:rant: :doh:
