I called the rebate center listed and asked if Amazon qualifies as a reseller and got an unclear answer from "Corinne"

She stated that "I can't find the rebate in my database, but as long as it doesn't say 'excluding (the store you are buying from', it should be fine.

As spoofee stated, as long as you follow the rebate and avoid the exclusions, you should be ok. In fact, a lot of these companies don't even check where you bought your item from. I bought a Dlink network card a year ago and kept the box (UPC). One day i saw a $20 rebate for this same card, so I made a dummy receipt with Quickbooks (dummy vendor name) and sent in rebate with fake receipt and real UPC. Sure enuff, they honored it.

bought this lcd 1 month ago from microcenter...$1500-$300 in rebates.......i did pay a little more after tax...but i can say it is an awsome picture...mostly play xbox 360...has built in hd tuner, speakers, and stand...clunky setup menus....still an awsome lcd for the price!
