Viking Rebates

I purchased three different size compact flash memory cards through Amazon.com based on a link on Spoofee. A 128Meg, 256Meg, and 512Meg. Each had a rebate totalling $45 or so. I mailed in everything and Viking sent back therir customary "you are missing the receipt and/or UPC code'. I RESENT copies of the original paperwork which included the Amazon.com receipt and UPC codes. Still haven't heard from them and I bought these way back in January! I guess I got screwed. That's the last time I will by Viking products.

I bought two Viking CF cards with rebates and didn't have a problem. Did you e-mail or call their Customer Service? They seemed to be very responsive.

I had a similar problem. I bought a 128MB CF with a $16 rebate. They sent me a postcard saying it was a USB $25 rebate and it expired. I then went to rebatestatus.com and posted an inquiry/appeal. I called the number on the postcard after I got no reply for a few days. I was told to fax my stuff in. Many more days and emails later they gave up, saying they couldn't help me anymore because my rebate was expired although they actually messed up on the rebate dept number. They told me to deal with Viking directly.

I did and Viking was much more responsive and helpful. Replies always came within one day. I faxed in all my stuff and the reply was I would get my rebate in some weeks. I hope I will get it.
