WD 74GB 10K RPM SATA Hard Drive for $79.99 Shipped

Did I miss something? How is this even close to a good deal (it's $99.99 by the way)? It's a SATA 1 drive and only 74GB. There's a Seagate 640GB SATA 2 drive on Newegg for 69.99. If you're going to quote the RPM to me, just realize you're talking about a Western Digital drive which will likely fail in the first 6 months anyway.

These drives offer RAID-specific features and aren't used for media storage. $79.99 is actually a pretty decent deal for a 74GB Raptor, but I would agree that the price change to $99.99 isn't much of a deal at all. Also, the drive includes a 5 year warranty.

6 months? I've had one of these for almost 4 years now. I've only lost one WD drive and it was due to a short in a wire from the PSU.
