$0.25 per GB is great deal.

BUT, I am staying as far away from Western Digital as I can now. Had a 200 GB WD drive crash on me in less than 7 months, it was fully filled too. On the bright side WD warranty service is pretty fast; a new drive is being ship to me right now. AND I am going to ebay this one off.

In anycase, I am going to stick with Maxtor and Segate now. Not a single one of them has crash on me yet; over 5 years now.

WD and Maxtor are terrible drives. There is a reason that their warranty is only one year. It's because they know their drives will fail.

Seagate on the other hand is great. Those drives have very few problems and the warranty is 5 years.

I have zero faith in WD drives any more. I have two sitting on my desk that I need to return from vacation next week. Both are 120GB drives, one of which is only 6 months old.

At least both of them are still covered under warranty.

Then again, maybe I should pick up another one. If I've got 3 new ones, at least I can set them up in a RAID array in preparation of their inevitable failure.
