WD 250 GB ext HD was on sale two weeks or so ago at compusa for about $70... I never go for these ext HD, I just make my own with an internal HD and a 3.5" enclosure for a but* load cheaper!

I think this is a very good deal. In fact, I recently purchased the same drive for
$99 after 2 x rebates from Circuit City. Also, this unit comes with Dantz Retrospect backup software which makes backups a snap.

EXCELLENT PRICE!!! Especially considering that there are no rebates to hassle with I would highly recommend this!

Having an external enclosure does save some money and you can choose which drives to use inside them, but there are ups and downs with it (chipset and sort).
