Where to buy a futon?

Hi guys,

I need a new futon that is comfortable to sit on
and sleep on. I haven't seen any good coupon to
a funiture store posted. Any idea where to look
for a good deal for a futon? Either online or on the
street.

Ikea sometimes has sales & coupons for their furniture, but there currently are no coupons or sales taking place.

Overstock.com has a few futons, and they currently have a few valid coupon codes:
- $5 off $55.. Note: Excludes media-only orders, exp 01/23/2005

Also, depending on where you live, you might want to take a look at Craig's list, to see if they have stuff available in your area. it's kinda like an online garage sale. Most of the things are used, but sometimes people are selling almost new or even new items. For example, for my area, I just typed in "futon" and put a limit of $100 max, and got 30 results (for items posted just today, there are plenty more for this past week). Also, you might need to pick up the item yourself (could always rent a u-haul or ~$20/day).

yea ikea stuff is pretty nice and its cheap. i like going there cause i get to put it together myself.

I don't know if buying a futon online is a great idea, you definitely need to check quality out first. I bought a futon a few years ago from a place called Pearl of the East, local here. Been very happy with it. You might be best off looking for a sale at one of the little local futon stores, if you have them.
