Hi,

I'm having trouble figuring out which prototype of the logo's I should proceed with. They are for a unofficial university community website.

OPTION 1

OPTION 2

Let me know which one is better and why. This is for a unofficial community for stony brook university students.

#2 - it's cleaner

The first one has the unemployed Maytag repair man looking for something to fix and the vultures are swarming......

I think 'Option 1' will look better on the free t-shirt you will be sending to all of us when you put the offer on the web site.;)

 This is going on a guide book, not a person who gives directions to navigate around Stony Brook!

That's what I thought, too. But click the link on the first post -- this is to be an online guide (presumable for students who decide to leave the comforts of their residences and head into the wilds of Suffolk County).

Also #2 - more appropriate

#2

BTW not that anyone cares, but I used to live in Setauket (3 miles away from Stony Brook) and the boss went to PA school at Stony Brook.

I like the second one as well as the first one is a bit harder to read.

Number two. Its neater, cleaner, and not so busy. IMO, the white lines, the guy, the birds, the landscape inside the loops of the letters in the first one, its way too much to look at.

I vote for #2. No good reason, just like it better.

#2 It looks like a new concept compared to #1, which is too "folksy".

definitely #2. It is simple and to the point.

Chose Number Two.....it didn't mess up my bifocals! LOL Just neater, and easier to read! Nice area up there.
