Alright, so here's story...earlier this week my pc's files start to get corrupted so I reinstall the Windows XP. Now that I've reinstall my Windows XP, I ran into 2 problems and would be appreciate if anyone could help or direct me to the solution...

Problem 1. I download the ATI graphic driver from ATI website...after installation, each time when my PC reboots, the stupid ATI folder pops up each and every time...really bugs me...

Problem 2. When I use the right click button of my mouse and select "new" from the right click menu, my pc like frozes for a min or two and then it load up the sub-menu of "new". I find it sooooooooooo annoying because something I would highlight it by accient and it will free...

******AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH*******

Any help would be appreciated...thanks!

i'm not sure wat you mean by "the stupid ATI folder pops up" do you mean their logo or an actual folder?

for your second problem you could try this site

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm

Yea, I mean the actual folder...the folder where the software is installed to. For instance, I install the ATI software to "C:\program files\ati\support\<software directory>". Each time, I restart windows, the C:\program files\ati folder always start up by itself...is there a way to disable it?

Also, thanks for the link, but unforunately that isn't really my problem. I have no problem when I right click on a folder or a file. I'm having problem when I right click on a empty space on in a folder and selecting "new." When it highlight "new", it takes forever to load the folder below that...the menu that contains "new folder" "new notepad"...did I clarify myself? thanks once again...

type msconfig in the the run box and go to the start up tab and see if you can disable the ati folder from there
