OMAHA, Nebraska (AP) -- One person overcame the 1-in-146.1 million odds to buy a winning Powerball ticket worth a record $365 million, lottery officials said early Sunday.

Only one winning ticket was sold for Saturday's jackpot, the largest in the country's history, the Powerball Web site said.

Nebraska Lottery officials confirmed a winning ticket was sold in Lincoln, spokesman Brian Rockey said. They know where it was sold and will visit the site early Sunday to verify the ticket, he said.

The lines at some of the gas stations on my way to work were insane Saturday afternoon. I heard that a mathmatician did a calculation and said that you had a better chance of dieing in the next thirty seconds than winning the powerball this go around!

well, the winner will be able to finally paint his entire house red and white, keep an ice sculpture of a cornhusker in his front yard year-round, and maybe actually get season tickets to the games!

(that's what todd would do if he won something like that- nebraskans are weird :p)

maybe they could get a bigger tractor with gps and upgrade their farm to a bigger farm. ah shucks, they could splurge and get an automatic cow washer.

Hey Hey Hey, hold on one second here. Now, I used to think Nebraskans were weird too. Then I moved here... and lived here for a while... Now I know they are weird!!! LOL

Well with that much money wouldn't you be considered "eccentric" versus weird?

The ticket holder has the option of taking the money in one lump sum or installments over 30 years. The cash option is $177.8 million, or $124.46 million after taxes. On the installment plan, the first payment would be $6,507,986 after taxes.

Lump sum for me......

Just imagine what the store that sold it gets....

Only $50K? In Calif, that would be ten times that or more....

But then Calif isn't a powerball state.
