Wireless router and PCMCIA wireless card - need urgent help

Excuse my ignorance but i know nothing about routers/cards. Here is my situation: i have a cable connection and i need to connect to destop computers(plug in) and one laptop (wireless connection needed). What is the best deal for decent router and compatible decent wireless card? What are the good/best products for each?

There are various deals out there on what you would need. I would check the home page here at Spoofee and scroll down to the deals from Wednesday. The D-Link DI-416 is a pretty good deal for under $40. It is a 4-port wireless router that will do what you need. You can hook up 4 computers directly to the router & I'm not sure how many wireless users can be connected at once. You will need an 802.11b wireless PCMCIA card for your laptop that will allow you to connect wirelessly to the router. The router will use the one IP address that you have from your IP - cable or DSL. The router will than hand out IP addresses to all machines underneath it - acting as a DHCP server. Take the time and enable the wireless encryption tool on the router so no one will "steal" your wireless signal. I would check deals here and also at fatwallet.com to find good deals on the gear. Any 4-port wireless router will work for you and they are all interchangeable with 802.11b wireless PCMCIA cards. Hope this helps. :)

For obese, please type fat. ;)
