A suggestion for you though, are you running Windows XP SP2? If so the built in firewall is all you would really need. I know I was having some compatibilty problems running Zone Alarm on Windows XP.
Also I case you did not know, Zone Alarm (not PRO) is free from the Zone Labs website

I have a router upstairs so I use that as a hardware firewall, and it seems to be what I need. If you have a network, keep in mind that your router most likely functions as a NAT firewall, which gives you hardware protection which is generally better than software protection.

Agreed. I personally rely only on my hardware firewall.Choochoojr said:If you have a router, I would not waste money on a software firewall. Even if you do not install SP2 you can still just use the router firewall and the XP built in firewall.
